Space Chick
I saw him last year and thought he was really funny. Didn't know he was gay until I saw him live. As he talked about being a gay jew. Would recommend you seeing him.
alih
We tried to see him at Edinburgh last year but couldn't get in so I have bought tickets for our (paper) anniversary..he will be great I'm sure, so I would risk the £
Cinnamon
Its £80 if we all go - expensive for a couple of hours entertainment
Lydia
We saw him at the Hexagon last year and he was utter rubbish! Hubby even fell asleep - twice. We considered going home at the interval but stuck it out to the bitter end. Bitterly dissappointing as it was a birthday present for hubby. You could tell most of the audience felt the same - apart from the woman next door but one to me who found it hillarious. Good luck to her - at least she had a good night! On the walk to the car park afterwards the people around us were terribly subdued and there were comments like "that was awful" and "umm well it was ok but I've seen better" and "well he's good on Buzzcocks". Check out http://www.chortle.co.uk for reviews too - most say the same. Love him on Buzzcocks and loved him on Popworld but I think he needs a Phil Jupitus or a Bill Bailey or someone to bounce off. I wouldn't waste cash on him live again.

Lydia
Yes I'm seeing who else is going to do a show. Quite tempted by Ed Byrne but hubby is not. Off to see the splendiferous Ross "Ooops, word censored!"le tomorrow night
Joojoo
I've never seen Simon Amstell but would imagine he's pretty good. I'd also love to see Russell Brand BUT failing that I can recommend Dave Spikey if anyone gets the chance. Ash and I went to see him last week and it was 2 hours of pure joy. I haven't laughed so much in ages. Absolutely brilliant  He's touring all over the country for the rest of the month and then starting again in September/October. Lydia
Thanks for the heads up on the Stereos - I have a couple of friends who'd be very interested in my spare bed for that one You're missing out on Ross "Ooops, word censored!"le - he's one of 2 men I'd cross oceans to see. Hope your daughters and their entourage enjoy him as much as I intend to
alih
Now I was disappointed with Ross "Ooops, word censored!"le but thought Ed Byrne was brilliant when we saw him at the festival about 3 years ago..horses for courses I guess!
Cinnamon
Devon is seeing Ed Byrny (who I think is adorable) later in the year,& Marcus Bridgestock too. I love that she enjoys these stand up shows. She always gets to meet the guys afterwards & they are all really nice, having their photos taken, signing things & so forth. Michael Mcintyre was especially lovely, apparantly
