in a bucket of water! She was NOT impressed! Children thought it was hilarious though

 

Little madam went straight back in to the nesting box though so I fear she may have to go through the same indignity tomorrow

I Dunked harriet many times in a day! Man she had the hump but it did do the trick... try again or you may have to separate her

Am on a mission! She's been in 3 times today so far... but as soon as I turn my back she slopes back into the nest. By tonight she's going to hate the sight of me and my bucket!

I'm afraid that I never found it to work, but a broody cage does.

Have been hunting for a suitable broody cage if the dunking fails. We have to snap her out of it soon as we have newbies coming next week and I could do without a broody in amongst all the introductions! Am stressed out enough about integrating them all

There was a thread over the weekend about cages, but hamster cages appeared to be a winner if turned upside down

my semi broody is not impressed. I slipped ice cubes under her. She thought 'ah wonderful, more eggs' and started to roll them under her. 10 mins later she's out in the garden with the flock!
