AJuff
I found Hilda our green egg laying columbine dead in the cube. She was absolutely fine at 5pm when I got back from the theatre, I saw her dust bathing. I can only assume that she had a heart attack? No sign of any injury, I've checked her over. She was named after St Hilda of Whitby Abbey as we bought her from North Yorkshire then drove to Whitby to meet my brother. We got her when she was 12 weeks old and still cheeped. She was only 2 years old. She'll be sadly missed.

MedusA
So sorry to hear about Hilda. It's awful to lose a hen, especially unexpectedly. We had to have our little Hedwig put to sleep on Friday (see related post in "Chicken Clinic") so I can truly empathise. *hugs*
