Well done. It's so exciting isn't it. I know what you mean about the think shells. I wondered if they were thick because they were a hatching egg or that the breeders feed them on a breeders feed !?

 

How funny that You, egg lou, and I all hatched at the same time and we all got a cream legbar boy

 

I wanted my plymouth rock to be a boy as we are keeping one boy, but now that I know that my cream legbar and dorking are both boys I really need the plymouth rock to be a girl.

Sadly we lost one ofthe CL boys this afternoon, looks like some kind of infection.

 

The brood have been moved into the Nursery section of the run. though Chive is refusing to go into the new house - it's not as spacious as the Cube, bless her. I really hope that she changes her mind once it gets colder and darker - we're reluctant to move her again as the move stressed her out a fair bit....

Thanks Claire. OH tried his best but it wasn't to be.

 

I've pulled a sickie today (well I *have* got a cold that I'd normally work through) and had a bit of a panic with little Peshwari the Serama who had a pooey crusty bum. Sorted him out and they seem OK at the mo (touch wood). Peshwari has learned to scratch today, it is the cutest thing I've ever seen!

I know what you mean about the scratching. I was suprised to see mine scratching through the chick crumbs at one day old
