4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

We are almost finished making our new wooden run for our three pullets. At the moment i am using elephant grass in their eglu.

 

Would this be suitable for the new run which is 9/10ths concrete underfoot with a small piece of earth?

 

What other bedding or flooring can i use for them?

 

They are 9 weeks old, but huge, if that makes a difference.

Aubiose is great.

Its lght,absorbant,they can kick it about & its easy to scoop up when it come to change the flooring

I would say aubiose too (I have a concrete base also) mine are full grown girlies but you;d be fine with Aubiose.

Another I am trying at the moment is 'Bliss' although I dont like it as much as aubiose, so I will be going back to Aubiose when this runs out, as it's too dusty IMO and makes me cough when I put it in the run.

I agree that auboise is brilliant, i am having a bit of trouble getting hold of it at the moment though so another good alternative is easi-bed.

I have tried many things in the run including bark with this being the last and wish i had started with this in the first place and saved myself all the hassle!!!

I have heard lots of good things about Auboise but it is difficult to source isnt it. Do you have details of good suppliers, I am in Essex.
