meezers Posted June 13, 2009 Share Posted June 13, 2009 When we made the perches for the 2nd coop I worried that at 18 inches high the silkie wouldn't be able to use them, so, as a bit of a joke dad made a ridiculous little 6 inch long perch out of 3 bits of dowelling that I put on the floor in the corner of the coop. I went out earlier to check the chooks were all tucked up. The 3 'babies' were snuggled in the nest box, the big girls were up on their perch, and Muppet ( the silkie ) was sat very proudly on 'her' perch in the corner- she is all of one inch off the floor she looked so pleased with herself as if to say ' look at me , I'm perching like the big girls ' Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
