Hi. I'm getting chickens in 2 weeks but what happens when they arrive? How soon do the chickens settle in and how soon might they lay eggs?! Thanks

Well, they'll settle quite quickly, but you'll watch their every move and worry. Don't - come on here if it really bothers you. Then you'll think they will NEVER lay and you will be the only chicken keeper in the UNIVERSE without eggs. how soon do they depends on how old they are when you get them but it can be as early as 21 weeks old or as long as 30 weeks oldI had one start at 23 weeks and one at 26 weeks still waiting on the 3rd shes 23-24 weeks this week (she 7 weeks younger than the other 2

you best get any jobs you had planed done in the next 2 weeks 'cause you wont get much done after

They'll settle in surprisingly fast

They will settle in quickly but will do lots of horrid smelly poos for the first week or so, this passes but it makes you wonder why you got them at first
