Phosphorus
My two lavender araucanas - whilst I know that sexing them is probably pretty impossible until about 16 weeks, one does have a comb slightly redder than the other and is showing more aggressive tendencies. Anyone want to hazard a guess They are 5 weeks old tomorrow.
Egluntyne
Only a guess....boy on left, girl on right.
Phosphorus
That is what I think Time will tell
craftyhunnypie
Boy at the back, girl at the front. Just going off what Poppet my ex cockerel looked like at that age. He's only an ex as a friend round the corner wanted him - otherwise he'd still be here. Emma.x

Phosphorus
Goody goody - so want one of them to be a girl - convinced one on left is a boy . However breeder did say that they can suddenly look like boys at 16 weeks

feemcg
I have 2 five week old Lav Araucanas too (and a white one although don't think you get white Araucanas , def a bit of naughtiness going on there, unless you get albino, lol). No combs yet and no redness. I'll try and get some pics later.

No combs yet and no redness. I'll try and get some pics later. That would be great. My suspected boy is getting a redder and redder comb area and a bit of bumpiness up there, so unfortunately is my little black araucana (the only one that hatched so really hoping for a girl there ). The good thing is my other lavender still has a really pale pink comb area
Griffin
I've been watching my two Lav Aras this morning. One is bigger than the other, chunkier legs and the comb is a tiny bit redder than the smaller one. They're four weeks on Saturday so probably far too soon to know either way but it's the first time I'd really noticed a difference apart from head shape, one has always looked a bit odd! Solopuff
I have two 6 week old Lav Aras and I'm certain one is a boy but not sure about the other. It could be wishful thinking as I so want a girl but the second one is slightly smaller, doesn't have the crest and ear tufts that the other has, and has a less red head gear. He/she is still quite pink in the crown area which makes me suspicious that he/she could be a later developing boy! I'd love to see a pic of a 6-7 week old girl to compare if anyone has one!
