Alis girls
We got OH a small olive tree for fathers day, he already has a vine and fig so felt it only right to get him a tree to remind him of sunny Cyprus. I know of one person whose grown them sucessfully but has anyone on forum managed it?
Patricia W
I'm in Abingdon near Oxford and my olive tree produces fruit - but they don't ripen. The fig is another story - that is prolific. Passion fruits ripen too. My sister is in Bournemouth and her olive tree fruits and a few ripen - almost. These are all outside so it may be more successful if they were under glass? I'll be interested in the replies. Tricia

C&T
My parents bought one at Christmas. They live in Surrey, and spent a LOT of time researching and going to specialist Olive centres to get the right tree for their situation and to give themselves a chance of fruit. There are so many varieties - as I am sure you have already found out!! It is currently full of small fruit. Whether they will ripen or not we will find out later in the year!! A local garden centre were selling them off cheap recently - but their label only read "olive tree". No idea of variety, size, anything!! Useless....
