But my broody is still sitting on some eggs i managed to extract two eggs and candled them and nothing there but she is still sitting on one egg should i remove the final egg and candle it?. Redwing
You could try, if its a few days after the others hatched I would, if its less than that I would be tempted to leave it another day or two Congratulations on your chicks

ross81
There here let me know what you think on the boy girl situation I think 3 girls 1 boy and one not sure its the one next to mums head in second pic (or am i trying to convince myself its a girl ) Also need some advice mum has started to poo in the nest which she never did during sitting i have moved the food and water outside in the run to see if this makes her move out is this ok or should i put it back inside? kimbo_frog
awwwww....cuties!! well if mine is def a Legbar...it looks exactly like yours... and if yours are girls mine must be a girl!! so I think yours def look like 3 girls and 2 boys....the colour difference is noticable... Ive now just got my other 2 (welsummers?) to check... On the subject of poo....my broody was getting quite uptight today, so I had a look at her and she was trying to find somewhere to poo away from chicks... Everytime she got herself in the corner....the chicks would run over and hassle her... I grabbed a cat litter scoop and kept chicks at bay for a minute as she relieved herself!! then scooped it out... Bless her...
AJuff
Three girls and two boys I think. Dots on heads are boys, stripes are girls.
atsw
Also need some advice mum has started to poo in the nest which she never did during sitting i have moved the food and water outside in the run to see if this makes her move out is this ok or should i put it back inside? Our broody did exactly the same thing, perfect through the whole sitting, but once chicks arrived she messed up the nesting box. We've done what you did and moved the water and food outside. Seems to have worked so far. Andrew
ross81
Thanks for that Andrew. I think it seems to be working here.
