Ain't Nobody Here Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 My lovely new lawn is sprouting little mushrooms everywhere . Is that a sign of anything bad ... or good? C&T Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 We had mushrooms in new grass... I blamed it on the old Hemcore from the run that I had put beneath the new turf as a fertilizer... If you want to get rid you should apparantly knock off the top, and then put a tiny dab of washing liquid on the top of the stalk to kill it properly. Haven't tried myself because i can't be bothered - but that's what our lawn guy says... Just knocking the tops off by mowing doesn't help. They grow back almost immediately. It isn't the chickens, it's the fairies, everyone knows that! They're the front doors to their houses (grass fairies, obviously, not the flower fairies).
