Best Wishes & Helloooooo's to All

Recommended Posts

Some may remember me some newbies won't have a clue , but I'm a fairly new chicken lover & keeper, one who is an avid reader of this wonderful site - but one who can easily become quite addicted to this forum :) - but one who limits my indulgence ( this may have to change :)

Anyway, late last night I popped into the Clinic to research the yellow pooh probs - was so late just quickly wrote out my request so today I could administer Coxoid if necessary. My eyes were so heavy they were almost closing . ..so a rather late greeting but one intended to write alongside Clinic request last night.

So Hellooooooo to all, hope you're all enjoying life & your chooks, that you, your family & chooks are all very well. Enjoying the sunshine.

My wee little Chook family update . . My dearest adopted/rescued Emily died in my arms after suffering what we assume was a heart attack. Emily's partner in crime Pussygalore ( such a bully!!) disappeared on a walk about - left without any trace. Ranger certainly best described her walkabouts!! Our beauoootiful Boudeccia & Agnes sadly were taken by the fox when our girlies wandered a little too far into some rough woodland bottom of our garden :( We then adopted 3 delightful chooks, oddly the same colours as the ones that died ( except for the speckled Fenning Cou) They're exactly the same age as our girlies, amazingly we witnessed a much easier than expected introduction. They very quickly became a tight, well established flock. Our newbie - Heritage Skylark lays greeny/blue eggs & TigerLily lays white ones so were absolutely delighted to have our full 'flock' back again. Still can't believe how full of character they all are & such different personalities. Every single day I enjoy having them.

Have a lovely weekend. Thanks again for all amazing posts & such valuable information shared.

Abundant Blessings Ms Tily'ssogratefulforomletchooklovers :)

Hellooo SnowyHowells

Ah .. well I am managing!!! I wouldn't say well all I know I learn through this site then go & have a try :) Yes it does seem like such a long time, time flies. I usually fast read during lunch then avoid pc :) but actually life- time is becoming less chaotic than recently, more my own at the moment. So I am happily indulging in Omlet forum. Hope you & yours are well. Lovely to hear from you. You're all my security foundations & blanket :)

Hi Wild Mum

Teee heee love the name :) although I won't question its origins further !!

Yes I kinda get the same expressions, I always talk to each chook as if to suit their unique personalities :)

Although I'm not the only one now - my pretend not to like the chickens hubby, I did hear my hubby, who came out of his workshop to see what was the problem and heard him then 'genuinely' say to Medusa the other day," What's up then? you lost ya mates - c'mon then Billy this way they're all lazing over here - hard life init being a chicken' HA !! (she'd been laying & when finished couldn't see the other girlies, who were hot & sheltering under the hedge, so she came hurtling round the corner making such a racket looking for them)

They are all so different - amazing - I never would've thought chickens had such unique, addictive, delightful personalities. Enjoy each & every moment :)

Hello All,

Its so lovely to have the time to yakka again . . PE & ANBH :) hellooooooooo hope you guys are well. Yes they are sooooo adorable .. I have half old flock (4 original chooks purchased & 3 new ones )

Just to say Plum, I seem to remember, back in January was it?, think you were online - along with many others or maybe you were after she died, all a bit of a blur - but I remember your name ( along with Eglutine, GosseyLucy, Surferdog, Chelsea ) the afternoon Emily had her heart attack. When I was holding her, tears streaming down my face writing to Omlet Clinic - so distraught wondering what to do, knowing the vets was a no go really, as she was so close to death. Thank you for that not sure if I came back online anyway - you all were much appreciated!!

The old saying is sooo true, words may be forgotten but how a person can make you feel never . you were all with me , as if sitting in the kitchen next to me, when I so needed chook friends :). Which I guess is why this site always remains in my life, so many wonderful people so full of such knowledge & support.

Huge Hugs with Abundant Blessings :)

Hello Wild Mum

Ah I have learnt from experience to eat the delicious grapes on route, before letting the chickens out!!! Ha ha!! See what an experienced chook keeper learns!!!!!! Ha! That flummoxed them, especially if I eat them in their sight. Hmmm the greedy little dinosaurs in them become most apparent ... actually both when they see grapes or runner beans!!!

Hope you're having a delicious day.
