splodge88
One of our chickens has been acting strange today - twisting her neck in a peculiar way...I'll try to post a video in a bit but does anyone know what is wrong or what I should do ? Thanks
Christian
Sometimes they do a strange neck/yawn movement when they are rearranging the contents of their crop. It might just be that she has eaten too much! As long as she doesn't do it all the time I wouldn't worry too much. Gape worm can cause them to 'retch' but this tends to be a constant retching, not just every so often.
splodge88
Thanks, she seems to have gotten better but I'll keep an eye on her anyway.
Egluntyne
Perhaps she swallowed something on the large side and it took a while to go down. A frog maybe?
Valkyrie
Or a mouse? I am amazed at the huge things that mine have gobbled up whole. Quite gross. I always said that chickens have snakey heads - mouths are obviously similar too!
