teri
just wanted to introduce my ranking dragons to you the one up front is bob, biggest of the two and more than likley female, the little one having a bath is marley and probably a boy. we are not 100% sure of the sex as they do not reach full maturity until they are two years old (they are even harder than chicken to sex!! ) these two are almost a year old and are brilliant pets. they usually spend an hour sitting on our shoulders watching telly in the evening when the kids have gone to bed. they love CSI
Chickvic
They look gorgeous Is it deliberate to have one of each?
teri
no just lucky! my husband brought one for my birthday and while we were waiting for the vivarium to be built i went into the shop to see it. the one my hubby had chosen was in a viv with a smaller shy little thing and i couldn't just leave it there alone after i collected mine could i so i reserved the second one and a week later both of them came home they are great mates and spend most of the day cuddling up to each other under their heat lamp! we are hoping that we do have a pair because ranking dragons are quite rare and we would like to breed them. Chickvic
How big do they get? What size vivarium do you have to have? Purely out of interest of course
teri
they only grow about 12 inches in lenght our vivarium is 3ft x 2ft. the breeder builds them so we had a choice of designs i'll add a picture of our set up. they are really cool and easy to keep. i am now considering getting a camelion they are soooo cute ......just some general info the breeder is on the A5 near brownhills....about half an hour from birmingham...... Lewis
I like vivs that are built into furniature. I built Hughies viv + it's on the floor with a step and he can slide the door open and go for a walk, and go back in when he's tired . I think a tortoise table is on the to do list for this summer, I'm just trying to make it so that he can still let himself in and out when we're not in .
