Angels4
I have to say they danced around it for ages until Ethel decided to give it a go. She stood back about five feet and streched her neck as far as it would go and took a little peck while the others watched. Because it didn't EXPLODE the others were more than happy to help out. Ethel going in for the kill. Oh, she's still here, I'll give it a try.

teri
i chucked an apple in with my girls the other day it was sooo entertaining it kept rolling round when they tried to peck at it! it turned into a football match with the girls dribbling the apple into a corner so that they could get a peck. i never realised what amazing tackles chickens could manage. i'm going to video it next time i chuck an apple in the garden. i'll post it if its any good! smokiechicken1969
ahhh love your pictures. they look very happy. my patner saw me making a fruit salad through the window from the garden and went and sat at the patio table for its arrival. he couldnt believe when i walked straight past him and gave my lovely chickens the melon, apple and grapes i'd been chopping up. my cockerel makes me laugh most. he's trying to tell the girls that there's food by doing his special noise for them, but he's almost choking because he's got his own beak full my partner says hes coming back as a chicken next time. i said id like to see him trying to pass an egg you'll have to try them with some more different treats now and post the pictures. x
