Old Speckled Hen
Sabre, aptly named by my grandson, caught a mouse today and after being chased by the others for a lap or two of the garden gulped it down whole The only trouble is that she stole it off the cat Poor cat was trilling, like they do, proudly bringing her spoils to show me when chicken shot out of the bushes like an exocet and grabbed it out of her mouth Even poorer now she is shaking, hogging the radiator as if it were still on I have given her a hot water bottle

Faye&Ant
Sorry that made me laugh - cheeky chicken - hope the cat is ok. My girls have eaten a mouse before - its the running around the garden cahsing each other that I find amazing - its like they are possessed
Olly
Poor old pusscat - my girls love finding the mice that Wellington leaves on the lawn, he has no interest in them once they've stopped 'playing'. And yes, I've seen Sadie swallow a dead mouse in one gulp! Your cat looks very fed up. Is that a bit of a Cornish Rex, I see a hint of curly coat? I had one once, lovely cats. Old Speckled Hen
Yes Olly, she is a Cornish Rex and is now 14. W had a pair but sadly her brother is no longer with us. He was a huge handsome chap whereas Rumpleteazer (blame my then 10 year old CATS-mad daughter) is quite petite. She, alas, has no teeth left so her prey are usually brought in alive. As you say, a lovely breed.
