4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

We picked up Victoria, Martine and Felicity today We were opting for battery hens but after waiting for 6 months for a date that we could actually attend, we got fed up of waiting (sorry bats, we'll get some of you next time).

 

Anyway, the girls are in their walk in pen.Eglu is on the floor currently (pen not quite finished, despite the time delay- just need a table putting up to put the eglu on to..). They all seem very happy, very cuddly and very comfortable with each other.

 

We just went out to put them in to the eglu and they've all gone in happily. we initially shut the door but it didn't feel right to shut them in so we've left the eglu door open. They've stayed in there mind you so, should i go out and shut the door or leave them as is? I suspect they were shut in the barn at night previously.

We shut the eglu door and the cube door every night as this is the only way they are fox proof, but others leave it open. We also shut it so we can control wake up time. So it's up to you. They sound lovely - enjoy!

I would maybe wait to see if they make a racket in the mornings - then you might want to shut the eglu door .
