I won a bargain dog crate (under £15) on 11 August (for my introductions (hopefully) next week). After one email responding to one from me I've heard nothing since . I emailed again yesterday but haven't heard back yet. He has no items for sale at the moment .

 

My PayPal payment is unclaimed and he is shown as "unregistered". Does that matter?

 

I sometimes wonder if something has happened to the person, how would you ever know?

We won an item once and paid for it, only a couple of pounds, but didn't receive it and the guy never did anything else on ebay so we wondered if something had happened to him and as you say you can never know.

It's not the money that's bugging me (I can get that back), I need the crate for when I get my new girls. If I knew I wasn't getting it, I've found a good new one for under £30 but need to order it so I have it in time .

There are quite a few sort of your way (I guessed at EH1 as the postcode), some are listed as DOG CRATE, others are listed as DOG CAGE. The link I've attached was a search for DOG CAGE.

 

You'd have to collect, but at least you'd have it in your hands quickly.

Of course, the alternative is just holding off getting my girls and waiting for the Ebay guy ) . Naturally, that's not an option .

You could also try your vets.....when I took Molly to the vets last week there were about 5 dog crates for sale on the notice board...bargain prices and most said only used for a few weeks whilst the dog was settling in

I phoned the contact number and got the guy's partner. She said they're moving house and their internet connection was disconnected sooner than it should have been. He was away on business but back tonight so she hoped to sort it out then. I was very pleasant about it and just explained that I needed it quite soon but was happy to pull out. She was nice too so I just hope she wasn't spinning me a line.

I think we are going to use it longer than a week or two and our new chicks seem to be very happy in it. We have placed it inside the Eglu run and its all very snug & cosy. They free range during the day with Boris and really just use the run & shelter at night. Whatever you get "good luck" Have you settled on breeds yet Ax

Wow, that looks fab . What a good price too . Coincidentally I have just been on the Zooplus website looking at a very reasonable plastic dog crate which I can get 10% off as a new customer (and the P&P is less than £3 ).

 

I love the look of yours but I need something fairly lightweight as I want to eventually use it as a spare nestbox and it'll need to sit on top of my eglu table extention (which doesn't have proper legs!)

 

I'm itching to buy it but will wait till tomorrow to see if the Ebay item comes good.
