Copper black maran x welsummer who I think is a boy but my friend thinks is a girl

This should be a Welsummer x Copper Black Maran as well but my friend thinks she may have given me a pure Wlesummer egg by mistake. Time will tell-lol

 

 

 

As you can also see the anti peck spray is not working so they're due to be covered in it again!

I think the confusion over the Copper Black Maran x Welsummer is that a Wellsummer girl would have a salmon coloured breast like that, but to me all the headgear points to boy.

 

The Gold Laced looks quite girly though

My friend has a cockerel that is supposed to be a pure Welsummer. It's one she hatched last year from eggs bought from a reliable business. The eggs I got from her which hatched were from Welsummer and Copper Black chickens all in with this cockerel. She keeps telling me that the pullets don't look like her Welsummers did so I've no idea now-lol
