How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Hiya, My hen Skull just started laying 3 days ago & had an egg from her everyday around 1:30pm but i'm not sure when i should be removing the eggs?

Yesterday & today she was sitting ontop of the egg so i just moved her & took the egg away, is that wrong & too soon? They were still very warm when i took them so could she be broody already?

i thought it was best to remove eggs asap to avoid broodiness or the eggs getting broken and/or eaten, not sure if they are still sat on it though ? if we are about we just wait till they come out of the coop,

if i'm at home i wait til they come out then get the eggs. i was quite amazed at how hot they can be, hadn't really thought about it before

I love taking an egg out from under a hen, it's so warm and comforting!

 

I usually wait until 8 am as all three have normally laid by then.

I take mine out mid-afternoon or even when i go to lock them up. We've only ever had one broody chicken so i'm sure it's nothing to do with how long we leave the eggs in for. We've also been away for the weekend and left them.

 

Eggs are warm when they've just been laid or if a chicken has benn sitting on them. My girls all lay in the same place so the other eggs inevitably get warm. I wouldn't worry too much.

My only hen that even bothers with egg laying at the mo-doesn't lay untill around 2-4 pm

 

It used to be much earlier but for some reason she has got later and later.
