MedusA
I had my gas boiler serviced the other day and the guy was ex-army who'd retrained post- demob. He told me that he'd toured Iraq but not Afghanistan, and apart from regretting the almost daily sad news we're hearing about things at the moment, we had a lovely chat about being in the armed services (I was a RAF child and we were posted somewhere new every 1-2 years). He said he was envious of my "Good Life" lifestyle - chickens, bees, allotments and not forgetting our nosy houserabbit. Amazingly, he said it was a walk down memory lane, coming to service my boiler, as he'd actually been born on our street. He was a really lovely bloke and I'm glad he came through it all OK. Jillus
I also noticed that they all had Help for Heroes wristbands...even Tom the Para who was a Hero! Everyone needs one!
