I have a half dozen gorgeous glass bottles which held bath salts, & I was going to use them for bottling food,but I cannot get the 'smellies' smell off of them.

 

So, I wondered about filling them with smelles I had made myself instead, & adding them to my Hampers for Christmas?

 

Anyone ever done this or got any tips about how I can go about doing it?

I made homemade Salt soak using sea salt, essential oil and lavender flowers all from Ebay - was LOVELY!

Did you follow a recipe for your salt bath stuff, as that sound just the sort of thing I would like to try.

Did the kit you bought on eBay come as a set?

I have an easy one..

 

Bath salts

 

100g bicarbonate of soda

50g citric acid powder

50g ground sea salt

1tsp dried or fresh rosemary leaves.

 

Mix together and store in clean DRY jars. Use a heaped teaspoon in each bath.

Fizzy bath bombs

 

120g Citric acid powder

350g Bicarbonate of soda

10ml sweet almond oil

Bun tin and paper cake cases

 

Sift together the citric acid powder and bicarbonate of soda. Add almond oil a few drops at a time rubbing in with your finger tips. Spoon the mix into cake cases and press down firmly with a spoon. Leave to set overnight. Turn out onto a clean tea towel and leave to dry. Wrap in celo wrap with a bit of pretty ribbon.

Forgot to add that when we made the bath bombs we added the tiniest spot of pink food colouring and rubbed it in to make a delicate pink colour and pressed a dried rose bud into the top of the bomb.

My daughter used one and didnt come out of the bath with pink skin
