We've wheelbarrowed in a wagon load of chipped wood into the chickens part of the garden. Lost count after 50 trips but it's raised the level by over a foot  so at least it's no longer going to be a quagmire when it rains. Oh and we've also laid a walkway to the coop with massive paving slabs we'd got off Freecycle. They were so heavy that I couldn't even help DH carry one so he had to manhandle them on his own.

We've also had to remove a section of the plastic sheeting we had on the outside of the WIR as the Bluebelle had decided yet again it was good to eat  We've now covered the bottom two thirds of the WIR with plastic corrugated sheeting which she can't eat.

Finally DH has built a table for the chicks rabbit hutch, built a perch and then put a ramp up from the perch to the table.

Oh, and finally the chicks, 11 weeks old this Tuesday have spent all this weekend out with the rest of the gang. There's been the odd bit of pecking and one of the boys squared up to the Bluebell  but fingers crossed it's gone ok.

Well, the big madams, little madams and little boys have spent today kicking up loads of chipped wood all over the paving slabs so that they were covered and they also kicked so much behind the gate that I could only open it a few inches. It was enough for them to be able to stampede out into the garden! Do you think they did that on purpose :lol:
