kevtheplumber Posted September 17, 2009 Share Posted September 17, 2009 Got 3 hens and when we got them we were told 2 picked on 1, the 1 in question came to us with very red sore wings where she is pecked, we covered her in purple spray and it seemed to work. 2 months on the wounds still have not healed and have just caught the other 2 pecking her back, her back is now nearly bald. Have let her out and left the other 2 i n the eglu run much to their disgust. Just need some ideas as when she is in the run she seems quite nervous and ends up avoiding the other 2. Wrap hen in a towel and soak bumper bit in hot water for a few mins to soften it a little Good luck They also sell them on Ebay **Here** Works out a bit more expensive though. £2.00 for 5 bumper bits including P&P.
