Elaine C
Hi Yesterday got my first egg from my meadowsweet (Billie) - a respectable 52 g Had trouble with Ella though as every time she went into the nest box Ella chased her out. Eventually I shut all of them out of the eglu run to let her get on with it. Ella though was still complaining, running round and round the eglu peering through the run and squaking really really loudly. She definately does not want to share her nest box! Hope this settles down soon. The four girls are still not great friends yet some minor peckings but now I can leave them all together in the run during the day. Just waiting for the Amber (Nina) to start laying, don't think she'll be long, she's squating and comb getting redder. E

Laura007
well done!!! it does take time for them all to get along. mine about 3 weeks until they were all happy with each other. there is still a little bit of a peck now and again, but just to show whos boss. all four of mine now all sleep together, when we first had them we thought that would not have possible. good luck! Elaine C
Well done Billie Is that Amber as in Amber star like my two? Yes, she is an Amber Star - What colour eggs do your girls lay? I'm waiting expectantly for her first egg - she's been in and out of the eglu all morning so I'm hoping. E

Don't talk to me about time - had the new girls since 3/11 and it was only last week that I could leave them together in the run Still they're getting there now E
