what branches do folks use for perches?!

Recommended Posts

Oh good grief.... having scared myself silly about all the poinsonous plants we have in our garden, and about how toxic things like oak are, I tohught I'd see whta other people use for perches in their runs?

I've picked up a load of oak branches today but theyr'e covered in bark and lichen so not sure if I can use them? I'd like to think my girls have the sense not to eat anything harmful to them, but they seem to ignore whether thigns are toxic or nto and munch away at will :eh::wall:

I used a spare set of eglu bars (available from the Omlet shop) to make a swing, instead of branches. They are much easier to clean and will last longer and I do not have to worry about poisons / mites etc...

Of course not... if you don't want it quite as swingy... you could always stabalise it at one edge with some cable ties. Mine seem to enjoy the motion and launching themselves from it!
