Bath time!

Recommended Posts

I created a BEAUTIFUL dust bath for them - they refused to use it. They instead made their own in the flower bed, moving a load of soil onto the path...

And no matter how often I clean up the mess, back they go and create it again!! :wall:

Contrary things.... But they do look cute when dust bathing though!!

I have our kiddies old sand pit, full of lovely topsoil with louse powder etc. They have discovered a patch in the border where I have been fighting vetch so it is bare - apart from the grooves worn by flapping birds. Also I have a sort of tiered iron flower basket thing. They squeeze under the middle section to bath in the remains of dirt and moss on the lower part.

I remember someone posting a picture of a flowerpot growing a chicken some time ago.

My little darlings just used to poop in their lovely dustbath that I made for them, and instead used an area that we had laid especially for a patio area - unfortunately - it's also used by the cats as a litter tray - Euurrgghhh!!! :vom:

Can't be pleasant, surely, but they won't go anywhere else!!! Am going to have to get those slabs down soon, which will upset them greatly!!!

Sorry chooks and cats! :(

Is this it Koojie? this was my beautiful Tallulah can you believe the day before she died :( No, nothing to do with the dustbathing, she had a prolapse. She loved this flower pot though and the others hardly ever got a look in :D
