Hello Everyone,

I am rather new to chicken keeping so please forgive an elementary question.

I have been cleaning the cube every week with Poultry Shield, removing and scrubbing the roosting bars, the divider and the dropping trays and then the inside panels.

I've read on some posts others talking about a "complete clean", dismantling the cube. Is this necessary and if it is what frequency does anyone here do that ?

3 chooks and after a newbie scare jumping to all the wrong conclusion in respect of mites all 3 are happily laying, ranging around a bit in the week, lots at the weekend and are now easy to get back into their run !

Many thanks,

Paul

I do same as you and spray poultry sheild into all the joins. There is no way I could get it back looking the same if I took it apart.:D

If I got red mite I think I would loosen the screws to make sure I could bang all the hemcore out of the joins and spray the poultry shield in the joins. :?
