Griffin
Fans of the books might like to know that Charlaine Harris has put some of the first chapter of book 11 on her site: http://www.charlaineharris.com/DeadReck_1.html I like it Book 10 was a disappointment, the end of season 3 was diabolical so at least this gives me something to look forward to. I didn't find Eric in my Christmas stocking

Snowy
And I read it last night I was hoping to save it for later in the month to take into hospital (I don't think it would be wise to take the kindle!) but I couldn't resist.

Griffin
Friday January 14th on FX So not too long to wait. I liked bits of it, certainly the James Frain bits but Sookie is still lame and unbelievably stupid

Griffin
Don't forget ladies, it starts tonight on FX Although I've already watched season three online I'm going to watch it tonight because if I recall correctly there is a delightful Eric scene in episode one that I'm sure will look even better on my big telly as opposed to my PC monitor

kitchens
SERIES 3 SPOILER ALERT So then Trubies, what do we think of this series so far? I must say, i'm a little confused. Not sure if having read the books helps or hinders the plot lines. My brother hasn't read the books and he's feels its lost its way a bit. He loved Seasons 1 & 2. I realise that the books are written from Sookie's perspective and they have to include the other angle but there's a whole lot of stuff going on that's new to me What do you think? quickcluck
I know what you mean. I've read the books, and I think you have to think outside of the box for this one!
Griffin
I loved bits of it. Russell Edgington & Franklin Mott are fantastic characters, very very well acted. I don't like new Sam or his family. Can't stand anyone from Hotshot either. I'm even tired of Arlene & Lafayette! The season finale was just utter utter pants, especially the lame ending. However, knowing that season four follows book four which means amnesiac Eric, I am very very excited Alexander says his Eric is very sweet and childlike in season four! Cinnamon
I have been enjoying it,even though the gore factor seems to have risen...I hate blood...not a good thing for a Trubie! Tara is getting on my nerves, but I have loved Franklin & Sophie Anne. Pam is,as always,my favourite character, along with Lafayette. I didn't think wassername, the Fairy woman, was beautiful enough either Looking forward to
quickcluck
I know what you mean, claudine should have been text book beautiful. I was disappointed with Alce also... not chisled enough for me

stoice
Got the latest True blood book through on tuesday, 'Dead Reckoning' and have just finished it. Anyone else reading it? Quite frustrated now it it kinda ends with loads of plot lines unresolved or rushed. No idea when the next one comes out but the wait is going to feel like ages. On the plus side season 4 of the TV version is out in the US end of June so hopefully I can get hold of it somehow. In meantime I'm going to re-watch the first three series again I think. Griffin
I'm half way through the book. I'm getting a bit tired of it really Same old same old same old Eric never bores me though I'm looking forward to season four too. I watch The Vampire Diaries online because the USA are a week ahead and that will be finished next week and there'll be a vampire sized vacancy in my life that only Eric can fill Wouldn't that be lovely, Damon Salvatore to keep me company through the winter, Eric Northman in the summer
Griffin
I've just seen one of the promo shots for season four. What big hands Eric has! edited to make it a link instead because the photo was huge! http://true-blood.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/TrueBloodDotNet_season4_001.jpg

Griffin
I finished reading it last night. It did improve the further on I got however I agree that it was all a bit rushed. The book started off so incredibly slowly then whoooooosh it was all over and I felt it was the wrong time to end. I did actually start to like Bill again though, he was very sweet and after all this time I can see that he loves her for who she is not what she is. I've thought since around book 3 or 4 that she'll end up with Sam and I still believe that. And is it just me who thinks of Victor as Victor Kaputnik from the Jilly Cooper novels? In my head they look exactly the same
