Hey everyone

 

I made it up to uni (I posted about being nervous about it just before I left) and I love it here! It's amazing, my room looks out onto the sea, I've already seen dolphins, the room is fairly big, my flatmates are lovely, and I'm coming to the end of a 10 day freshers week

 

Now I'm beginning to apply for a part time job, and think I need some positive omlet vibes

 

Also, can I only apply to jobs that are being advertised, or can I print off application forms and just send them in anyway? (This will be my first job so not really sure! )

 

Thanks for the words of wisdom before I left, I remembered it all and it definately made the first week of Uni much better!

Glad to hear that you have settled in

 

I would say that you should print some CV's and drop them off places.

 

Maybe try the students union? I had a bar job in uni, it was fab as I could be out with my friends and while they were spending money I was earning it

I would send application forms in anywhere you like - what's the worst that happens? They don't reply . But you may get a fab job .

You Uni accomodation sounds fab I would apply to jobs that are advertised and take your CV into places that you would like to work but are not advertising. They can keep it on file and if they know they have a vacancy coming up they will probably like your proactive methods. Glad you're enjoying Uni
