Sal and I are looking at getting another 2 sisters for Scramble (Gingernut) and Poach (Miss Pepperpot), perhaps a bantam silkie (Will be called Brian), and another one yet to be chosen (maybe called Stewie) 1) would this make an ok mix with the proper introductions. and 2) Does anyone know of any reputable breeders in and around Leicestershire where we might be able to go and have a look at some. Apart from a handful of mottled cochins and RIR I didn`t see any other pure breeds for sale. Saronne Posted October 5, 2009 Share Posted October 5, 2009 Merrydale is excellent for all sorts of hybrids, and they're all vaccinated, too. But if you want purebreeds, have a look at the Welland Valley Feed website poultry ads - they tend to include smaller breeders, etc. around Leicestershire. Also, try Westaway poultry - they're a well known local breeder of bantams - and have lots of other breeds, too. They're located in...wait for it... Wing ( true!) in Rutland.
