fluffyknickers
Hi all knowing omlet-ers! Over half term I will be away staying in Norfolk a place called Clippesby and wondered if anyone knows this and/or the surrounding area and anything of interest around there. You have all come up trumps before so hope you dont mind me asking. Thanks Michele
The Dogmother
Been there loads of times, although it's further south than our house used to be. Great for walking and sailing.
Falkor
Oooh Clippersby is LOVELY! As already mentioned walking and sailing, the scenery is lovely! You are within driving distance of Norwich for shopping (they have a lakeland ) and Great Yarmouth (my neck of the woods). Also I LOVE going to http://www.wroxhambarns.co.uk/find-us-in-norfolk.phtml Mum used to take us as kids and she still goes every year with her recpetion class. The animals are lovely and the little shops are great too! If all else fails if you could knock on my Nan's front door she will feed and water you until you physically can not fit anything else in and she will tell you all about Norfolk history. Although, how long is half-term? She could keep you talking for days!
The Dogmother
I used to take Rosie to Wroxham Barns when she was little. We still go to Norfolk to visit friends.

I dragged OH there this summer we had great fun, loads of chickens, goats and loads of baby pigs running around http://www.melsopfarmpark.co.uk/index.html Or you could take a boat out on the Broads Have a great time
The Dogmother
Get the Electric Eel from How Hill - lovely, silent glide through the nature reserve and a wildlife expert to tell you what's what.
Falkor
Get the Electric Eel from How Hill - lovely, silent glide through the nature reserve and a wildlife expert to tell you what's what. Oooh I fell in a ditch/dyke at How Hill during a school trip! That was a damp/smelly coach trip back
The Dogmother
Rosie used to ask to go to How Hill every time we went to Norfolk. My folks had a house in Stalham and we were there every school holiday as children, sailing, fishing and walking on the beach They are selling the house now - it's a bit of a trek for them and they don't visit much these days. Sad for us as it was great for a free holiday, but we still visit to see friends.

Seagazer
We had our summer holiday on the Norfolk Broads this year on a boat. So beautiful up there and very relaxing (well it was for me as I didn't have to 'drive' the boat). We started in Stalham. Obviously I only know about the little villages that we managed to moor up at and the little pubs/restaurants.
