The Cube is now available in the US. . .and I am trying to decide if I should upgrade to the Cube. Thoughts????

I only have 3 chickens, so probably don't need the Cube, but they like to roost up off the ground and the Cube looks like it has that.

However is it worth over $1000.00 to upgrade. I saw a YouTube video that showed the Cube leaking terribly. . .??

I will take any advice. . .

Hi John,

Hello from the UK.

I live in South Wales which is famed for its rain, and my cube has never leaked (she says touching wood  )

It is so easy to clean, and I am delighted with it.

I suppose the question is do you have $1000 spare to get it :!:

Let us know what you decide, also us Brits love so see pictures of chickens, so feel free to post some pictures of your girls :D

Hi John

I have a wooden house and a cube and I have to say the cube is far and away the best. Definately no leaks here. If you,ve got the 1000$ (and it sounds an awful lot in $s  ) I would say definately go for it. Cleaning is (almost :D ) a pleasure, its so easy! Plus, room for more chickens!

Let us know what you decide :D

This is Rosemary & Clarisse. 2 1/2 years old. Just got a 6 month old Buff Orpington (?). . .she is lovely and intros are going pretty well. (don't have any pics in the gallery yet)

I know I don't NEED the cube with only 3 hens, but like the looks and the extra space. Especially with winter coming on . . .

Even though it's a lot of money I would gladly spend it as I love to spoil my girls. . .just want to hear experiences with cube/eglu. . .

thanks

Hey John, been a while since we heard from you! I would say with a Buff Orpington you really REALLY need to upgrade :D:D Omlet do say the eglus are not really big enough for a buff orp - my baby buff who is just about 6 months old now is taller than any of my other girls and not even fully grown yet. But very cute and fluffy. A cube is ideal as the entrance is much bigger for them. ( and you could always get another one!!) I am on my second cube now and neither of mine have leaked - I think it is only a small percentage that have been faulty.

Go for it - you know you want to really :dance:

me neither quick cluck????

John, Enid is gorgeous. She looks much bigger than my Bettie who has now decided to moult and currently has only a few stragly tail feathers instead of the gorgeous lot that Enid has. how are the thers getting on with her - do I remember rightly that they didnt get on with the litttle silkie you had? Hope things settle down quickly for you ( in their new cube :wink: )!!
