Criminal Justice

I've not yet but will be watching it on demand this weekend. I've heard such good things about it, but as I am feeling poorly, I thought it best to wait until I am much better so I can actually take it all in. Plus, I missed Mondays as I was at my parents house for my mums 60th birthday party.

We are too. We can't make our mind up about Juliet at all. OH is beginning to lose sympathy for her. I think the policeman and the duty solicitor are playing it well trying to influence the case from both sides.

I must admit I did think that Joe would have had a bigger part in it so wonder if we will see more flashbacks just to ascertain his true character. I wonder if he really wasn't as bad as they've sort of shown ie the drug dealer etc just OCD'ish and that Juliet is really a baddie.

I must admit I don't know why they don't all just talk more!

I'm loving it, though irritated by the court scenes as always as they get so many details wrong..grrr...but Maxine Peake is fantastic isn't she? And I love Steven Mackintosh- does anyone remember how brilliantly terrifying he was as The Street in Prime Suspect??

I hope it doesn't turn out that she's the baddy as it would be wholly manipulative of us throughout.. I too like the way the police officers' relationship is so similar. Nice twist. Wish she would stop pouting though!

I loved it, thought it was fantastic, brooding and suitably dramatic but PLEASE can we have a sequel where she appeals and wins and gets her baby back!! Come on jack, get that appeal in. ( Yes, I do know its only TV) :(

I had tears rolling down my eyes at the end it was just so hard, obviously the Judge, a friend of her husbands wanted her well and truly punished, and he knew losing her baby would be the real life sentence.

Maxine Peake was brilliant and played it so well. I'm glad in the end she wasn't the baddie. I was rooting for an appeal at the end too and it choked me up when they took the baby away. I thought she acted the scene in the court where she 'confessed' to what Joe had done to her with such repressed emotion.

OH on the other hand had lost all patience with it and said afterwards 'what was the point of that'
