I feel weak... getting married in december, dress fittings in a few weeks so time to buy the undies for the big day...

 

 

£195 for a pair of pants!!! Well, to be fair, several pairs - can't decide between them so much prancing round in fancy pants will have to be done when they arrive!!!

 

I will just add - I'm buying another eglu too, so I WILL NOT be keeping all of them, even if they are all gorgeous!!! (are there any rules about the groom to be not seeing the bride to be in her pants before the wedding?!)

Thats the mad thing isn't it. I don't think my hubby's pants were even new. But us girls go to so much trouble I do remember wearing a stupid pair of hold ups that kept on falling down!

I had the most horrid underwear for my wedding. The lady in the dress shop advised nude coloured as apparently white can still show through some materials. So I had very basic, very functional, and I've never worn any of it since. Apart from for my second wedding a month later

I must point out that it was to the same man. Our proper wedding was in Cardiff, and not all hubby's family could come down, so MIL organised a 'second' wedding a month later in Harrogate, it was basically a renewal of vows but took longer than our proper wedding service. I got to wear my dress again, had my bridesmaid, flowers, all the same hymns and music, and a photographer and a posh car. We then had a 'do' in the pub next to the Church, it was also Hubby's 21st birthday

I remember buying my wedding knickers - those massive Bridget Jones style elastic pants, I wanted them to make me look slimmer but the shop assistant looked me up and down and said 'well the fat has to go SOMEWHERE'

These are more, ahem, basque type than knickers type I tend to do corsetry in a fairly big way anyway, so £195 is quite tame (there are 6 items in the order, so not tooo bad!)

 

Plus OH is used to lacing me into them, so it'll be quite nice for him to see me in something that ISN'T black or laced up at the back! (although my wedding dress is dark red...)
