abwsco Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 Given that I've booked my Ocado delivery what size turkey crown will I need There's 11 of us which includes 3 pensioners, one of whom eats like a sparrow and a nephew aged 11 who is the same and will have to have ketchup on it We do not want to be eating turkey for days and I am not entertaining again on Boxing Day. chickencam Posted October 15, 2009 Share Posted October 15, 2009 One of the problems with the christmas turkey is that people tend to really over estimate how much they need. When you take into account all the trimmings like chipolatas and stuffing which have a meat content this reduces the amout of meat eaten in the form of turkey. We usually have a whole turkey that weighs aroung 5-6 kg and this gives us loads for our family of 5 for several meals.
