bluekarin
http://www.musicweek.com/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=1038925&c=1 They were my fave band during the 80-'s when I was a teen. I especially loved Mags and it didn't dawn on me till recently that when I met my hubby he looked very similar Their last concert is the day after my birthday

chickenNutter
I thought they had only just done a come-back or was that reverse deja-vu?
missuscluck
They have just had a new album out. They have been touring again for a bit though. Trying to get to grips with the new album but its just not grabbing me really. Love the old stuff. Hunting high and low is one of my favourite albums. Still listen to it on my record player What a shame they are calling it a day (again!)
bluekarin
I agree, I don't like their new stuff much. I still have Hunting High and Low on vinyl and still play it. It has a scratch at the beginning of the title track though so if I hear it on the radio or somewhere, I mentally pop in the scratched bit
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Morten must have a dodgy portrait in his attic. He's STILL such a fox! He went out with the bird from Aqua (Barbie Girl) for a bit I think.

He went out with the bird from Aqua (Barbie Girl) for a bit I think. Its them Scandinavian genes. Or something in the water. They have all aged really well. Did he really go out with some girl from Aqua? I always, well, when I was 14 or so, wanted to be that girl in Take On Me. Still prefer Mags though
Seagazer
Oh thats a shame, I too was a fan in the old days. We kept hearing one of their new songs on the radio and OH kept asking me, about 5 times, who it was. Has become a bit of a standing joke in this house now. Have to agree that they've got brilliant genes as the look so great
Alis girls
I thought they had already split. Nice that someone else has a OH who isnt "with it" - my OH thought Akon (sexy chick the youngies will know who he is) was called Acorn the kids havent let him forget it
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I call him Acorn too. I hate his music and his voice but he is a canny business man, talented musical trend setter and writes hooks which get totally stuck in your head. I am admiring this whole trend of big R n B industry players now picking up on white musicians - Kanye and Mr Hudson and Akon and Lady Gaga, mixing up all the pop styles and creating stuff with great hooks AND great tunes rather than all the grunting about champagne and women and nonsense sung on two notes like everything from the past five years. It's a good move.
Guest
I went to see them at The Royal Court in Liverpool in the 80s, I had a thing for Morten! 'Take on Me' still sends shivers down my spine
helenp
I'm going to see them on Nov 2nd in Birmingham. It will be a really odd night now. Have always loved their music since the start. Will be really sad when the concert ends
