millymollymandy
hi this is another pick your brains thread!!! I am going to a 'bad taste' halloween fancy dress party and I am struggling to think of a bad taste costume. Thr OH is going as Heath Ledger as the joker from batman which is pretty bad taste, I know someone else was going as Nick griffin but I am stuck. The only thing I could think of that is bad taste is marmite but how do you dress up as marmite??? The party is on saturday so as usual I have left it till the last minute doh need some inspiration
bigmommasally
Try googling it, I just did and it came up with a few ideas. Don't want to list them here as I think most people would find them quite offensive.
millymollymandy
yes I did look that way and that is kind of why I am stuck as most things I found went a bit far past 'bad taste' to just plain offensive which is not the look I am going for. Chook n Boo Mum
The only thing I could think of that is bad taste is marmite but how do you dress up as marmite??? Black jeans/trousers with a large printed pic of a marmite jar attached to the front of a black t-shirt.......... you can get special paper which you run through the printer & iron the image on to your t-shirt, or would a tshirt printing place be able to print one for you for little outlay.....you could take a plate of tiny pieces of bread spread with marmite too........... Have a great time, Sha x
whoopsie
I went to one of these once and it was great. Just wear REALLY AWFUL clothes. All the fashion faux pas you can think of and you have it made!

All the fashion faux pas you can think of and you have it made! The 80's spring to mind, enormous permed hair, shoulder pads, blue eyeshadow and red lipstick, sleeves scruffed up to your elbows and really dodgy dancing! Take a camera!! Olly
My friend had a 30th party with a 'bad taste' dress code. Just go round your local charity shop (or in my case, dig in the back of the wardrobe ) and wear really awful combinations of colours and patterns - I think I wore a floral blouse with a striped skirt, ankle boots, some rather large diamante stuff I'd picked up in a charity shop, and a knitted scarf to top it off. We had to travel to the party on the tube ...
Egluntyne
Wear as many different tartans as you can. That looks grim.

millymollymandy
I am back from the party managed to pull off the marmite costume by printing out a marmite logo and pining it to the front of a black dress!! Also had a yellow hat which was suprisingly hard to find at 730 on Friday night but I found it!! I suggested the John and Edward idea for OH and he did it with a friend. I thought they looked brill but the problem was noone at the party watched the x factor so it was a bit lost on the others It was a good night there was a Jordan but she used balloons not a grub for her 'assets'
