Peachy77
Got a couple of pumkpins at the weekend for the girls. Are they ok to eat the seeds to? Was just going to cut a few holes in it for them to eat whatever they wanted to of it. Any ideas?
Space Chick
They LOVE pumpkins, I just put one in whole, but expose a bit of the flesh, and they sort it out themselves The seeds are a natural wormer and are fine, even my tiny silkie likes eating the seeds
Pikey
Mine love it......had to chop up the seeds to make pecking them easier for the little madams

cordelia
LOL...well they were quite proud of them, but all the family have laughed when they've seen the yellow imposters at the front door... I'll try them with the chickens....
Peachy77
Hace cut three triangle holes in it (one for each chicken - lol !!!) and put it in the run. They are now in hiding at the other end of the run Will see how long it takes for them to go and investigate!
jomaxsmith
I put my pirate themed pumpkins in the run on Sunday and the hens were so terrified they wouldn't walk past it to get out of the run for over an hour! They liked the scooped out innards but haven't made much impression on the flesh. Jo
JanTheDiver
I have just cut mine in half and given it two them on two different days, all I have been left with is a nice pumpkin coloured bowl So I think they are a hit

Peachy77
After leaving the pumpkin in the run for an hour the other day and them hiding under the cube, I took it out, and just left it by the outside of the run door. Put it back in yesterday, and they are now starting to show some interest in it.
