Does Matilda not feel well ?

Recommended Posts

I have been on a course all day today and when i got back made myself a nice cup of tea and then watched my girls . Evie and Charlotte were busy s"Ooops, word censored!"ing and pecking about but Matilda was stood on a log. She just stood for a while making that sort of dinosaur cooing noise. I looked for anything scary which is when they usually make that sort of noise, but couldn't find anything. Tea finished, i quickly cooked them some pasta for their supper and whilst Evie and Charlotte wolfed it down Matilda didn't want any. :( She wasn't even interested in my waggling finger. She pottered for a bit and pecked at the floor and then went to bed, quickly followed by the others.

She did lay an egg today and there weren't too many fireworks last night - is she just having an off day like us humans ?

Sorry I have no idea, mine are like that if they are laying a softie but your had laid. Hope she has picked up by morning.

I think I would give her a good check over for other things in the morning if she is the same. Worms, lice, cold, empty crop, chesty that sort of stuff.

Matilda is much better now , i think she was just fed up with the wet weather. She perked up the next day when the sun was out and was back to having pasta and potatoes for supper, but i did order Flubenvet which arrived today so i will start that tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice on what to look for :)
