Valkyrie
Hi peeps. Spent most of the day asleep. Now I'm wide awake and feeling tons better. Liking the driving stories - my mum was with me a lot (knowing my dad wasn't exactly cool calm and collected) and one day dad picked me up from school and I drove home. Now there are a lot of thin windy lanes over Lyne and one of which had a brick wall along the bend - I had been driving for a while and I suppose I was quite close, but not that bad - and dad started yelling "WALL WALL WALL". Just because another car was in the opposite direction. Mum and I had done that route and there was never a problem before! Reading is only a short distance from us Lewis - harrrrrrrrrrrr! Don't bother with the football team, although the stadium is wonderful. Good news then Fred. While I was asleep on the sofa earlier I woke up to see this huge face right up close - Erin - garghhh! Frightened me - hear her cackle! Then around 10 I was a bit peckish so decided to finish a doughnut from Thursdays shop. Rather stale - but I hadn't eaten anything, then it appeared that my tooth broke. No, it was uncooked rice where Madam had been cooking earlier. And they had a takeaway - mumsie at her own house, brother visiting this weekend. Rain woke me up just now - it's torrential out there.
Lewis
Hope the sleep makes you feel better! Lewis is just costing up a new WIR - originally I was always going to build it but the prices are so good there's no point! ... Have no idea which size to go for because I'll want the biggest and dad will want the smallest so it doesn't ruin the garden There are loads of different prices too so have emailed a few places about the gague weld mesh they use and same with wood thickness. Valkyrie
Biggest means you can fit in more, and then you can do a Debs and have a nice little intro area.
Lewis
The one we have now is huge, 14 x 9 (I think?) but the sides are sloped so we can't have loads of layers and perches and we used strong chicken wire instead of weld mesh and the door is 3ft so you have to crawl in and it gets really muddy in the rain! We need to decide where to put it and then once we decide its easy, but where I want it, it can be seen from the house and father wants it behind the grrenhouse - we'll see! They'll find another excuse
Valkyrie
Jerusalem artichokes - they grow so tall you can't see behind them. Works for hiding our cube and run - and they can be eaten in the winter (probably when your dad wants to see it least of all though).

Valkyrie
Hi again - not been washed and blown away yet then Debs? Saw the arrows on the forecast this morning and they were so close and almost made one filled in lump over Wales.
Space Chick
It is extremely blowy here We have a large mini greenhouse plastic thing, and that has blown down the garden The poor girls are huddled together in the run, but I have put some cauliflower in there for them, as there is NO WAY I am prepared to let them free-range today, they will blow away. Emptying the poo trays was fun aswell I'd start emptying the contents into the trug and it was start blowing down the garden
Chickvic
Well chicken poo is good for the garden Debs! I never let mine out when it is really windy either
Scramble
...do a Debs... Good afternoon It's really windy and rainy here too.. I have a hilarious picture of Yolko being blown away by the wind from February...she always likes to fly onto the table on the patio and then she hops onto the plant pot and then......... Bless her I've got a really bad bruise on my hip now from walking into a table...I admit to being a wimpy girl but it hurts I should probably spend my day revising...not much else to do. Valkyrie
Good picture! Mine are skulking around somewhere. There is one fence broken down up the road, lots of branches all over the roads - next doors poxy lime tree sheds its dead stuff all over our driveway and my car! Hmmph. I picked up offending branches and chucked them back. My Meldrew moment. Ciaran went out for a cigarette and the rain blew it out, so we all laughed. He said I'll get my own back (laughing). He also told me off for trying to open an umbrella indoors "It's unlucky, don't do that!" He is much more chatty, so hopefully . . . Floods everywhere, but luckily not too much here (yet) - lots in Basingstoke - almost a swimming pool near the station! I could hear a fair amount of whingeing from the Orpies earlier on. The babes had sneaked into the veggie patch. When I went out the Orpies were so tittle tattling on the youngsters (probably more like "we want in too"), so they were escorted out and peace and quiet again. Scramble
You're going to have no money left Lewis :wink and if the weather is anything like it is here you'd be drowned by now Okay...so I let the chickens out..so Yolko screamed as she got blown down the garden..so Chickpea came and hid in the conservatory...so they went to bed early. I miss sunny days. I have been revising ...only 5 days left now I'm printing off past papers as we speak I saw Nyssa today Debs
Space Chick
Cool, glad you saw her JJ. I'm back from football, it stayed dry in the Stadium, and I was able to ogle my favourite Welsh player whilst he was sat on the bench right by me, and then when he was on the pitch in the 2nd half
