Lavenders_Blue
I normally just delete my freecycle e-mails straight away but for some reason decided to have a look and see what was on offer today. Someone is advertising a Japanese bantam pair (cockerel and hen) that they hatched earlier this year. They are not of any interest to me as I don't have any space for them and I certainly don't want a cockerel, but if anyone is in spitting distance of Rutland and would be interested in taking them then I am happy to help arrange it. The Dogmother
Odd that they are allowed to advertise livestock on Freecycle - most groups don't allow it.
Lavenders_Blue
There often seems to be animals on ours, the number of times I have seen kittens offered. It's amazing really. It just worries me that they don't go to good homes because people take them on a whim.
The Dogmother
It's a shame that your local groups rules allow it - it attaches no value to life at all.
Mrs Frugal
That's my local freecycle group too and I've just spotted the post. I can't take them either although I would love Japanese bantams at some point....just not a cockerel! I hope they are rehomed safely with someone who'll care for them. The Dogmother
I hope they go to someone who knows how to care for them; Japanese bantams are quite fragile. My Fleur is 5 now and increasingly delicate
Gelbel
I really need new glasses - I read that as 'Just spotted Japanese bantam pair on bicycle'.
The Dogmother
could be interesting, especially as they have very short legs!
Lavenders_Blue
What a great image, I am now picturing two Japanese bantams on a tandem!!
Falkor
I would love to add these to my two japanese ladies and I would have myself a little quartet but don`t think the neighbours would appreciate the little man too much
