Ness3103
i really shouldn't laugh but my girls are a bit dim sometimes tesco are doing a 2 for £1 on cabbage, cauliflower and a bag of greens, so i bought some for the girls. i filled up the treat balls and the poor things were so excited and pecking really hard at the greens that the balls were swinging violently. of course the inevitable happened poor ebony got knocked on the head, then each of them just stood there getting hit in the head you'd think after the first hit they'd move, but oh no not my girls they're all going to have headaches now. i just wish i'd had the video camera to hand, it was hilarious

helen1962
Hi all I can't get my girls to eat cabbage. All the books told me they love sprouts and other such veg but mine just aren't interested. I have tried hanging veg in different places around the garden and the greenhouse but to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem?
Falkor
Hi all I can't get my girls to eat cabbage. All the books told me they love sprouts and other such veg but mine just aren't interested. I have tried hanging veg in different places around the garden and the greenhouse but to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem? I used to have this problem.....I think it is a case of trial and error....or treating them like a child. Disguise the veggies!!!! When I first got my hybrids they ignored all veggies hung/placed in their run so I took to cooking it in the microwave, blitzing it in the food processing and presenting it to them in their very own green (to match the ) bowl.....they literally lapped it up. OH said all I needed to do was add a parsly garnish and he would of considered eating it! As time went on the veg was cooked and blitzed less until they were on "solid" food Now they can demolish a whole pumpkin or cabbage in just a few hours

Margaret
Have you tried Strawberry Necklace's ( Not that they actually wear then ) just dangle them from a branch. Make a hole , ( I use the steel for sharpening the knives ) and thread them altogether.
