worming

Recommended Posts

That depends on your surface. If it's concrete and you're cleaning out whatever bedding you use before adding Stalosan then I'd say yes. If it's a soil base or you're not clearing out monthly, I'd say no. Have a read of the article in P P this month about disinfecting. There's a classsic quote in there "You can't disinfect dirt".

Thanks for the advice every day the worms have got less found only one today...I am now continuing worming for a couple more days and yes I am going to build another little run ..the trouble is we are invaded by ducks every day so everywhere has been walked on. Ihave a load of pheasants in the garden as I write.

But will sort out another enclosure my friend was telling me she had split her run up into two for this reason.

Apart from being disgusted that the ladies had worms they were also quite fascinating & big worms! Looking back I thought they started to eat rather a lot of food...probably to feed their unwanted guests. They are all fine and well. I just red mited the house too and have cleaned the litter trays every day and burnt the paper.

Thanks for the tips very appreciated

indie :)
