flamingo
Thought I was being so clever roofing my eglu run with corrugated plastic sheeting but the rain just collects in the chanels and flows towards the eglu where it splashes right in through the open door! If I lift corrugated plastic up on top of eglu to stop this then I can't open and close door easlly. Have any of you omleteers found a way round this? Lewis
Could you put a sheet of plastic under the corrugated from the one bottom side of the run to the other, near eglu door, then over the top of the eglu shell so that the water will run down the corrugated, hit the plastic sheeting and run down the sides to the floor? Falkor
Could you put a sheet of plastic under the corrugated from the one bottom side of the run to the other, near eglu door, then over the top of the eglu shell so that the water will run down the corrugated, hit the plastic sheeting and run down the sides to the floor? That is kind of what i do... I put the plastic on to the run when the lid of the eglu was off...this way when the lid goes back on the plastic goes in too...the water runs back and down the grey sides to the floor.....not sure that makes sense....hope so
Ain't Nobody Here
I never had that problem but I've just worked out why while typing that . My corrugated plastic wasn't quite long enough to cover the extended eglu run so I had clear plastic on the very end near the eglu!

chickencam
You can get it to overlap the roof by a small amount without blocking the door opener, this worked for us
