Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I'm thinking of building a permanant run in the corner of my yard to give my girls a bit more space to run about when I'm not around to supervise them. I know I've seen some really clever ways people have built their Eglu into some custom runs and I'd love to get some ideas on where to begin.

 

Some interesting things I remember seeing are:

Putting the eglu into the run on a raised surface to give more floor space

Having the eglu accessible from the outside

Some sort of mount for the grub and glug

 

May I see your homemade run/eglu combos?

If you pop into the Eglus, Cubes and Runs section of the forum you will see a couple of REALLY long stickified threads all about WIR's

 

Make sure you are sitting comfortably with a cuppa, notepad and of course chocolate...there is a lot to read!! Lots of pics too!
