coco
The chooks were FR ranging this afternoon an I was watching them on and off from the upstairs window, after a while I thought I hadn't seen Pipa for a while so went down to check, I thought she was probably under the hedge. Called the chickens and no sign of her, I looked under the hedge and went round the street, even asking the neighbours if they had seen a chicken, by this time I was starting to get that panicky feeling. Hubby came out to help me look, I was starting to wonder if something had taken her, altough we have never seen signs of a fox and there was no feathers and the other chooks hadn't made a noise. Hubby let the dog out into the back garden and all that could be heard was a panicking chicken.Luckily the dog came in when called. Pipa had flown over the dividing fence into the back garden and the only way we could catch her was with the pond net as she s impossible to catch. It was such a relief to have her safe back with the others. Don't we worry about them.
Egluntyne
Phew. Awfully handy those nets. I use my sons old angling net to catch reluctant hens.
