bronze
I'm giving up on quail for now I hope to start again when I move, whenever that may be This morning I went to feed them and found that my stopping the rats getting to anything edible, no veg s"Ooops, word censored!"s on compost, taking feed in at night had just made the hungry so the crafty little ****s decided to find a way to get into my quail instead. My last four girls taken in one fell swoop

Lesley
Oh, that's such a shame Bron - we've been there as well. We now have a concrete base for the quail run......although the rats are living under the concrete at the moment I hope you do have some more in the Spring. rufusrooster
omg, how dreadful for you i am hoping to get some quail next spring. was intending to have a small seperated area in the wir for there house, with a door into there own run alongside the wir, on grass, will have to have a rethink now, do the rats just attack them and kill them instantly ? can the quail not defend themselves at all aren't they bigger than the rats ?
