Lavenders_Blue
As my girls have now been out of their cages for just over 2 months, I thought it was time to treat them to a little pre christmas present of... flubenvet! (I'm sure they would have preferred mealworms actually ). I opened the box, read the instructions carefully, weighed out the requisite 2kg of feed (which I think will practically last them the 7 days!) then measured out a scoop of flub powder. It doesn't look like very much. I mean, is one little scoopful seriously supposed to dose a whole 2kg of food?! I have mixed it till kingdom come to try and make sure as much of the mash is coated as possible but it doesn't seem possible that they will take much medicine in at all. It must be seriously potent stuff. Oh well, here's looking forward to happy, worm-free hens!

JM
I did that on Tuesday night - carefully measured it all out, put it into the cube run on Wednesday morning - and by Wednesday evening, it was scattered around on the floor - absolutely everywhere I had to pick all that up otherwise it would have gone damp, attracted pests etc - so now I don't know how much Flubenvet is in the remaining pellets I'm debating whether to put another dose of Flubenvet in!! Plum
It'll be distributed evenly just make up another lot when it's gone. What bad chickens you have I understand a higher dose hasn't been shown to harm them but you are advised not to eat the eggs.
Lewis
A double dose is only meant to be done with a vets say ... I think And then, as Plum said, there is the egg withdrawal.
Angels4
I've finally found a stockist here in the Sates that carries Flubenvent...it says it is 1% is that the same as you all can get there and would I use it the same way then?
