Eggquisite
Ok sorry but I do need to rant! Have just travelled down to London on the train and made a conscious decision to sit in the quiet zone!!! Yes you probably know what's coming! So turned off iPhone, started to read my book! Then someone gets on at the next sto and calls someone to only get them to call them back ! So for the remaining 20 minutes they sit there chatting away and not even quietly!! I'm sorry but there are QUIET signs all over the place!! Now, I'm annoyed with myself for not saying anything but there were reasons, such as not really knowing what may happen if I did! The two ladies sat opposite didn't say anything just looked on. Aaaah I really can't bear ignorant, bad mannered people!! Ok rant over!! Well until I get home and rant and tell OH
jlo
Oh dear. Feel free to rant as it is so annoying. I once got on the train at Clapham Junction. I phoned OH and told him that he did not have to pick up the children as I was now on the train and would be home in time. I swear that the whole conversation lasted less than 30 seconds. A chap across the aisle started tutting really loudly and, when I looked up at him, he pointed up to the quiet signs and said in a really bolshy voice, "I don't know why they bother putting those up." I apologised; explained that I had not seen the notices and said that I would now switch my phone off. The chap at the side of me then said to me, "I don't know what his problem is. he has been on the phone as soon as he got on at Waterloo and he only just came off before you got on the train." I chuckled but thought no more of it. A bit later on the complainer's phone went off and I looked across very pointedly so he shut it off and didn't bother answering it. Eggquisite
think I've now calmed down a bit now. As it's the season of good will to all men perhaps I'll lend the benefit of the don't & perhaps they too missed the signs or could not read although in both counts I very much don't it on this case but you never know :wink
Rhapsody
That happened to me a few months ago, some idiot girl on her pink phone in the quiet zone. I sang Show Tunes a la ethel Merman til she went away. I got a gentle round of applause from my fellow pasangers too!
